Police arrest suspect for unlawful possession of narcotic drugs in Eastern Region

 The Ghana Police Service has arrested suspect Christopher Saigoe for the unlawful possession of substances suspected to be narcotic drugs at Nkurakan in the Eastern Region.

The operation, conducted on June 17, 2025, led to the interception of a Sprinter Benz bus with registration number AS 1933-21, driven by the suspect.

A search of the vehicle revealed five sacks of maize within which were concealed seventy-eight oval-shaped, sellotaped balls of plant material suspected to be Indian hemp.

The suspect is currently in Police custody assisting investigations and will be put before court.
