A 23-year-old young man who from Banda Ahenkro in the Brong-Ahafo Region, who allegedly altered his senior high school certificate in a bid to deceive enlistment officials in the ongoing police recruitment exercise has been apprehended in Sunyani.
The suspect, Eric Donkor, had just three days ago successfully passed through the first stage of body selection exercise and was again with other applicants to go through the documentation process; but he was unlucky eluded as it was detected that the grades on the photocopy of his SHS certificate were different from those on the original certificate.
According to the enlistment officials, Donkor had altered the grades of the English Language, Integrated Science and Technical Drawing from E8, D7, and D7 to C6; C5, and C6 respectively.
He was subsequently arrested and locked up in the police cells for further investigations as the rest went through the exercise, Daily Guide reported.
