The Range Rover Velar, which is the fourth member of the Range Rover family, designed by Jaguar Land Rover limited has officially been launched in Ghana.
The vehicle was launched over the weekend at the Achimota Gulf club by Alliance motors, the official distributor of Jaguar and Land Rover in Ghana. The newest edition of the Range Rover, which is pegged at 120,000 US dollars is expected to sell one million vehicles by the end of the year 2020.
The Velar represents the next chapter of the Range Rover success story as Britain’s biggest luxury export.Â
In an interview with Primenewsghana.com at the launch, Kwadwo Adjabeng, the sales manager of Alliance motors explained that the vehicle has been designed primarily to suit customers who are looking for class, quality, design, comfort, style as well as a luxury brand that is cost-effective.Â

Its features include Large alloy wheels, flush deployable door handles, an all-wheel-drive system, a new Touch Pro Duo infotainment system, full-LED, a Dapple Grey sustainable premium textile seat material and comprehensive restraints system
The choice of engines available are a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine, four petrol and diesel powertrains, two petrol Ingenium four-cylinder engines and 280kW supercharged V6 petrol engine.
Mr Adjabeng further stated that to enhance the purchase of the vehicle, there are payment plans which will give the customer the luxury of buying at their desired place.He explained the payment plan comprises an initial deposit of 40% out of a total of $120,000, and the remaining cost spread over a period of 36months with affordable interest rates.Â
