A viral video on social media indicates two teachers molesting a male student of Mankessim Senior High School in the Central Region of Ghana.Â
The reason why they did that to the student, is unknown, but in the video, one of the teachers speaking in the Fante dialect asked the student to stop misbehaving by pulling his shorts down.
The student was seen in a green shirt and khaki shorts trying to prevent the teachers from stripping him naked in front of his colleagues
Meanwhile, the Ghana Education Service (GES) said it is doing its best to minimize the abuse of children within the school system.
Many school children find schooling to be torture. Some students, because of fear and panic over the abuse, end up performing poorly in class and some even dropout as a result of the corporal punishment, losing interest in school entirely.
