The Bono East Regional Police Command has arrested three suspects in connection with the murder of the Queenmother of Abamba near Amantin in the Atebubu area of the Bono East Region.
The suspects have been identified as Rafiu Haruna, Mufawu Adamu, and Michael Owusu Spermi. Police say they were arrested through an intelligence-led operation.
According to a press release issued by the Police, the Queenmother, Nana Serwaa Asaama Kuma Gyan, was shot at her residence in the Methodist Church area in Atebubu on February 25, 2026.
The three suspects are currently in police custody assisting with investigations.
The Police added that efforts are ongoing to apprehend any other persons who may have been involved in the crime.
