Two Police Officers killed in motorbike crash at Ofoase Ayirebi

Two police officers stationed at Ofoase in the Akyemansa District of the Eastern Region have died following a tragic motorbike crash.

The officers, who were reportedly off duty at the time of the incident, were returning from Ayirebi, where they had gone to purchase chicken, when the accident occurred.

Preliminary reports indicate that the motorbike they were riding crashed into a stationary tricycle along the road at Ofoase.

One of the officers was riding the motorbike while the other was seated behind him as a pillion rider.

The impact of the collision left both officers with severe injuries, including deep wounds to their heads, thighs and legs. Witnesses said the crash caused heavy bleeding, which left the victims in critical condition.

The officer who was riding the motorbike died instantly at the scene due to the severity of his injuries.

The second officer was quickly rushed to the Brenase Poly Clinic in an attempt to save his life, but was pronounced dead on arrival.
