 A 45-year-old man, Kobina Chawudi, has told the police that he secretly buried his wife near a septic tank in his house at Adawieman near Weija in Accra.
Residents of Adawieman discovered the shocking act and reported to the Weija police, a report by graphic.com.gh said on Thursday.
Chawudi, a mason, Â is said to told the police that he buried his wife, Esi Avorkpor, 41, in the house because he did not have money to organise a fitting burial and funeral for her.
According to the report, after woman died, he kept her in their bedroom for three days in the house where they lived as caretakers.
The wife had reportedly been sick for sometime.
Although the couple is said to have lived together for 12 years, Chawudi told the police that he did not know any of his wife's relatives and so could not inform them of her death.
They did not any any child between them, but Chawudi has five children from a previous relationship, the report said.
