Kim Kardashian was influenced by the tight clothes her mother Kris Jenner used to wear. Kim Kardashian finally accepts her own body after growing up surrounded by "tall, slim" supermodel figures.

The reality star and businesswoman has become famed for her curves, even revealing them in nude snaps such as her racy photos on social media earlier this week (end 11Mar16). The 35-year-old's appearance may be a part of the reason she's in the spotlight, but initially it wasn't so easy for Kim to accepting her curves.

"Something could look amazing on the runway and then just not fit my body type," she told Britain's Closer magazine when asked if her shape influences her style. "I grew up when the body to have was the tall, slim, supermodel one, like Cindy Crawford's. No one looked like me. It's taken me a long time to be happy with my body and for my confidence to grow to what it is today."

Kim has worked hard to stay in shape after having children North, two, and Saint, three months, with husband Kanye West. And she credits her mother, Kris Jenner, 60, as a major influence on her style, with the reality TV mogul recalling how her fashionable parent used to dress.

"My mom would always wear really tight clothes - she was into Vicky Tiel or Chanel - with huge Moschino heart earrings," Kim grinned. "One time (my sister) Kourtney and I saw in my mom's closet - we must have been eight or nine - and we were like: 'If mom dies, we're going to write down who gets that.' We were so mean!"

As a mother herself, Kim has plenty of pieces she's set to pass down to North when she gets older. One of them is the strapless ball gown she wore on the cover of Vogue alongside Kanye, and all of her Met Gala dresses make the cut too.

"The most prized possession will be my Givenchy wedding dress," she added.
