Prez Mahama considering another run in 2020?

Mahama promises smooth transition

President John Mahama has spoken for the first time since the Electoral Commission (EC) declared the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo winner of the 2016 presidential elections assuring a smooth transition to the next administration.

'I will not be President for one party'- Akufo-Addo

President elect, Nana Akufo-Addo said he was not elected to serve one party and would do his best to serve the entire nation.

Delivering his maiden speech after being declared as the winner of the December 7 general elections, he said, "President of Ghana is President for every single Ghanaian without discrimination or malice to any ethnic group or political party."

He added that "whether you supported me or not, whether you campaigned for me or not,or voted or not,I can promise you one thing, I will do my best to serve your interest."

He said, he would put the country back on the path of progress and prosperity and ensure that the country is transformed to benefit every citizen.

God he stressed, did not provide the country with abundant natural resources to be poor and confident that together the destiny of growth and prosperity of Ghana would be fulfilled.

He expressed gratitude to his family, the Electoral Commission, the media, Pastors and Clergies, security services and the entire country for their support.

"The battle is still the Lords,"he ended.
