The Bonwire executives and the members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ejisu-Juaben municipality of the Ashanti region have opposed the appointment of Maame Serwaa Derchie as the Municipal Chief Executive officer of the municipality.
In a statement signed by the coordinator of Bonwire  electoral area wing of the party, Kwabena Agemang, they believe Maame Serwaa Derchie is not from the Ejisu-Juaben municipality.
