The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has stated that results they have collated from about 80 percent of polling stations so far has their presidential candidate, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo leading with 4,676,989 representing 54.91 percent.
President John Mahama has 3,694,724 representing 43.38 percent with the rest of the other presidential candidates polling 145,447 representing 1.71 percent.
Speaking at a press conference on Thursday dawn, the party's campaign manager Mr Peter McManu was confident that the 20 percent of polling stations remaining could not overturn Nana Akufo Addo's win.
"I am telling you on authority from the pink sheets obtained from the polling stations", he stated.
He thus urged the other contestants to concede defeat.
