Akufo-Addo’s 100 days: One day one achievement- Dr Bawumia

Vice president Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has stated that the New Patriotic Party [NPP] in it 100 days in office was able to achieve 103 initiatives.

Addressing the Ghanaian public on Monday April 17 which marks the NPP’s 100 days in office, he said as the NPP government has one district one factory policy, they were able to achieve in that same regard one day one achievement in their first100 days in office.


“I have present to you 103 achievement in 100 days so, basically just as we have one district one factory, one village one dam we have one day one achievement. “


He also further outlined some achievements of the party.


“We promise that the portion of the district assembly fund that goes to persons with disability will increase from 2% to 3% it has been on table for many years and government has promise but have not done it, this year we have done it we have increase the district assembly common fund allocated to persons with disability from 2% to 3% and it quite significant in this regard.”


“In the area of health we have nursing trainee who have been sitting at home within this last 100 days approval have been given to employ 11,000 nursing trainee who graduated in 2012/2-13.” He added.

He also said the government’s maiden budget saw Ghana moving away from an economy whose primary focus was imposition of taxes to an economy whose focus is on production.


“So we wanted to give incentives to the private sector, bringing down the tax rates in the country and encourage production,” said Dr. Bawumia to the applause of the audience.
