National Democratic Congress [NDC] faithful’s in the Dome Kwabenya constituency have asked the Member of Parliament for the area to apologize for making comments to the effect that she facilitated the construction of a community senior high school in the area.
Adwoa Safo in a viral video has claimed the Mahama administration had nothing to do with the building of the school, the only day SHS in the constituency. She continued it was through her own efforts that a world bank facility was secured for the project.

At a press conference on Friday June 7, NDC vice chairman of the constituency, Isaac Lamptey, described Adwoa Safo as a serial liar. According to him the MP did not even attend the commissioning of the school though she was invited.

The Mahama administration with the support of the World Bank set out to build 200 SHS's  to bring secondary education to the doorstep of every Ghanaian. The total number built before the NDC left power is disputed but what is certain is the school at Dome Kwabenya was one of those completed.

Mr Lamptey expressed shock and surprise that the MP would claim credit for a project she had no hand in securing funds for or helping in its completion in anyway whatsoever.

Other top guns on the NDC have also descended on Adwoa Safo heavily for her comments. Detailing the processes that led to the building of the schools, former deputy of education Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa said President John Dramani Mahama approached the World Bank to support his vision for Secondary Education in Ghana.

The proposal received favourable response and so the then Minister of Education, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang led a delegation to the World Bank Headquarters in the US to negotiate a $156 million facility for what became known as the Ghana Secondary Education Improvement Project (SEIP).

He admonished the Dome Kwabenya MP to give credit where it is due.
