The People’s National Convention’s parliamentary aspirant for the Bolga East Constituency, David Akpasera reckons party chairman, Bernard Mornah needs to be booted out of the party over conflicting allegiances.

He submitted at a press briefing that Mr. Mornah hasn’t been acting in the interest of the party stressing he was lackadaisical in efforts put in to gather data for the filling of the nomination form of the presidential aspirant, Edward Mahama.

“While we were busy working, he was sleeping in his office,” he charged adding funds donated to support the campaign have not been accounted for by the national chairman.

According to Mr. Akpasera, Mr. Mornah deleted his name from the list of parliamentary aspirants forwarded to the Electoral Commission (EC) only for him to fight for his name to be included at the EC office noting such acts must not be further countenanced.

Mr. Mornah meanwhile refuted the allegations saying his good self and other executives were determined to have their candidate on the ballot adding detractors such as the Bolga East MP aspirant must be disregarded.

Mr. Mornah raised eyebrows when he claimed to have received a car gift from presidential lawyer and NDC sympathiser, Tony Lithur to facilitate his campaign with some asserting it was from the president to influence him to be hard on the opposition NPP while being measured on the NDC.

Dr. Mahama with 13 other presidential aspirants were disqualified by the EC for not meeting requirements to be eligible to be voted for after the vetting exercise.
