Member of Parliament for Abetifi Constituency, Dr. Bryan Acheampong, has announced the formation of an exploratory committee to engage stakeholders across the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and assess the alignment between his vision and the aspirations of the party and the Ghanaian people.
In a statement, the MP said the decision follows “growing encouragement from a broad spectrum of party faithful” and consultations with family and well-wishers. The exploratory committee, he noted, will engage the party’s grassroots, constituents, and other key voices and is expected to report its findings within four weeks.
“This dedicated committee shares my commitment not only to discipline and unity within the Party but also to job creation, food security, youth and infrastructure development, safety and security and good governance within our nation,” he stated.
Dr. Acheampong reflected on his long-standing service to the NPP, describing his journey as both “lifelong and deeply personal.” He cited his involvement at various levels of the party—from grassroots organization and serving as a staffer, to becoming a four-term MP and active member of several parliamentary and party committees.
“I have served the NPP faithfully, supported many and helped shape impactful policies. Everything within me and every resource at my disposal have been put to the service of the party and I will continue to serve,” he said.
The Abetifi MP also encouraged NPP supporters to stay united and decorous, expressing confidence in the party’s ability to overcome its challenges and lead Ghana toward a brighter future.
“May we remain steadfast in spirit and decorous in conduct in the pursuit of progress, inclusivity, and effective leadership for Ghana. May God be our helper,” the statement concluded.
