The Policy Advisor to the Progressive Peoples Party, Kofi Asamoah Siaw has noted that the report by the Commission of Human Right and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) was a failed attempt to cover the misconduct of President John Mahama.

“I think the entire exercise was a failed attempt by CHRAJ to cover the action of the President,” he submitted.
Speaking to Agatha Asamoah on the ‘Behind the News’ show on Radio Ghana, the Policy Advisor said, “we agree with CHRAJ that misconduct was occasioned, CHRAJ made the observation in their report, but at the same time proceeded to make the conclusion that they are dismissing the allegation.”
According to him, some notable points have been raised by CHRAJ in their report that the party is comfortable with. “The first benefit is that we have a document that will be available for anti-corruption students so that they can study the circumstances leading to the saga and how CHRAJ investigated it and if they have done a good job.”
He further added that “CHRAJ sort to highlight the absence of a codified definition, punishment and sanction for conflict of interest positions as prescribed by the constitution.”
