An  Accra High Court has adjourned the case brought against the Electoral Commission (EC) by the All People’s Party (APC) to October 31 for hearing.

It comes after the EC disqualified the party’s founder, Hassan Ayariga, from contesting the December elections.

Mr Ayariga was one 12 candidates disqualified by the commission for alleged irregularities regarding their presidential nomination forms.

Mr Ayariga, specifically, is said to have failed to provide evidence on the statutory declaration of his hometown or residence in the constituency as per legal requirement.

On Wednesday, the High Court also asked affected parties to file their cases by October 28.
