The New Patriotic Party is accusing the Electoral Commission (EC) of denying the party a fair playing ground ahead of the December presidential and parliamentary elections.

Director of Elections for the party, Martin Agyei Korsah stated at a press briefing that the EC has not served it with the full voters register and list of proxy voters despite serving other political parties.

According to Mr. Korsah, when the commission requested that political parties provide 2 external drives for copies of the voters register to be transmitted to them, the NPP complied but was only provided the voters register 12 days after offering the external drives.

He stated it soon became apparent that files on 31 constituencies out of 275 constituencies reflecting 134 polling stations were corrupted handicapping the party.

Mr. Korsah also submitted, the commission refused to offer a hard copy of the voters register to the NPP yet they are aware, the EC was printing hard copies.

He intimated that both the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and New Patriotic Party (NPP) have the full complement of the voters register yet the NPP which got its own last was served a register with corrupted portions.

He warned that the NPP won’t sit idle while the elections were rigged again.
