Election 2016: NPP is leading in presidential election

The New Patriotic Party has taken an early lead in the 2016 presidential election.

Nana Akufo-Addo has 18,706 votes, representing 52.11%.

His main rival, John Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has 16,283 votes, representing 45.36%.

Papa Kwesi Nduom of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) has 526 votes, representing 1.47%.

Nana Konadu Rawlings of the National Democratic Party (NDP) also garnered 103 votes, which represents 0.29% of the total votes cast.

Ivor Greeenstreet of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) had 101 votes, which represents 0.28%.

The independent candidate, Jacob Osei Yeboah, got 99 votes, representing 0.27%.

Edward Mahama of the People's National Convention (PNC) had 85 votes, representing 0.24%.
