Ghana police indicate preparedness for NDC unity walk

The Ghana police service has indicated its preparedness towards the National Democractic Congress (NDC) unity walk scheduled to come of on 21st September 2017.

According to the police, adequate security measures have been put in place to forestall any eventualities.

The second edition of the Unity Walk forms part of the NDC's campaign to unite and re-organise the party's grassroots .

Members and sympathisers of the NDC will converge at the Obra spot at Circle and will go through some principal streets in Accra .

A statement issued and signed by the Director of Public Affairs, DSP Afia Tenge said the walk will commence from the Kwame Nkrumah Avenue and will head towards the Farisco Traffic Lights and then to Cocobod through to UTC.

The procession will then head to the General Post Office on the Atta Mills High Street and finally end at the Arts Centre where former president Mahama is expected to address the gathering.
