Give me second term, my works deserve it - Mahama

President John Dramani Mahama has stated that the achievements within his first term in office warrants continuity.

 

These achievements, according to him, shoild enough grounds for electorates to give him a second term in office so he can complete his unfinished agenda of transforming lives.

President Mahama made the statement when he was addressing the chiefs and people of the Mamprugu Traditional Area as part of his 'ccounting to the people tour' of the Northern Region.

 

According to him, the roads, water expansion, health and educational facilities are some of the numerous projects his administration has so far executed in the region.

He appealed to the chiefs and people of Mamprugu land to remain law abiding citizens before, during and after the 2016 polls.

President Mahama was optimistic the elections will be generally peaceful and called for their massive support.

He promised to deepen transparency and accountability saying, “Being transparent and accountable to the sovereign people of Ghana is another pillar of our social democracy and this is the reason why I have embarked on accounting to the people tour to interact with the chiefs and people, inaugurate projects, inspect ongoing projects and cut sod for new projects to start and also to absorb feedback from our citizenry.”

The President is expected to climax his tour with a visit to Saboba, the Tamale Teaching hospital, Dabokpa Technical Institute and the Yendi-Gushiegu stretch of the Eastern Corridor road among other project sites, citifmonline.
