It appears the NDC is now eating humble pie on its insistence that the free Senior High School policy to be implemented by the Nana Akufo-Addo government in September, will not work.

Deputy General Secretary of the NDC Koku Anyidoho has made a U-turn in his rhetoric, demanding that the president goes ahead to ensure the policy works " give us the jobs, give us the roads, give us the free education, pay the nursing training allowances, pay the contractors," he said

Delivering a solidarity message at the National Delegates Conference of the NPP at the University of Cape Coast, Mr Anyidoho backtracked on his previously held belief that it will not be possible for the government to roll out the policy.

The leadership and communicators of the NDC have been adamant since the 2016 electioneering campaign the promise by Nana Akufo-Addo to make Senior High School education free of charge in Ghana is not feasible. They repeatedly rubbished it on campaign platforms and ridiculed it at every given opportunity.

Mr Anyiho charged the president to as well fulfil other promises such as paying contractors debts the Mahama administration was unable to settle and paying back monies lost by victims of the DKM financial scandal.

He cautioned the NPP his party will be unrelenting in its demands for a peaceful and developed Ghana.
