All is set for the election of new national and regional executives of the Ghana Journalists Association, (GJA) today, Friday, September 29, 2017.

Chairman of the election Committee Ben Batabe Assorow in a statement said the nationwide polls, will start at 8 am and close at 4 pm.

Members in good standing who will not be available to cast their votes can assign someone who is a member of GJA and in good standing to vote on his or her behalf. That's according to the statement.

Eligible voters are to produce a GJA identification card or any National Identification Card as proof.

The two main contenders in what appears to be one of the keenly contested GJA elections are the president of the association, Roland Affail Monney who is seeking re-election and Llyod Evans, a veteran journalist and Johnnie Aryeetey.
