The Prime Minister of Grenada, Honourable Dickon Mitchell, has arrived in Ghana for a two-day official visit
The visit is aimed at strengthening diplomatic and economic relations between Ghana and the Caribbean island nation.
Prime Minister Mitchell was received at the Kotoka International Airport by Ghana’s Minister of Health Mr Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Dzifa Abla Gomashie and other senior government officials.
The visit began with the inaugural Ghana-Grenada Political Consultation Meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs shortly after the Prime Minister’s arrival. The meeting marked an important milestone in deepening political and economic cooperation between the two nations.
On Friday the Prime Minister’s itinerary includes bilateral talks with President John Dramani Mahama at the Presidency.
President Mahama will host a State Luncheon in honour of the visiting Grenadian delegation.
He is scheduled to depart later in the evening.
This visit builds on strengthened cooperation between Ghana and Grenada. In 2024 both nations signed bilateral agreements including a visa waiver pact to facilitate easier travel and frameworks for enhanced cooperation in culture, trade and education.
