Controversial former Member of Parliament for the Lower Manya Krobo constituency, Michael Teye Nyaunu popularly known as MTN has said, he is disappointed in Valerie Sawyer for insulting NDC founder Jerry John Rawlings.

Dr. Sawyer, the former Deputy Chief-of-Staff and Policy Advisor to  former President John Dramani Mahama in an article descended heavily on the former President and  former Attorney General, Martin Alamisi Amidu for comments they've made against the party.

She in her article described the former President as 'agitated mosquito' who is always looking for his next victim to destroy.

Speaking on Accra-based Citi FM, Mr. Nyaunu said, Dr. Sawyer's comments were very disappointing and insulting to the former President.

"I am disappointed that she could stoop so low and call the former President and founding father such names,"he stated.

He added that,it is very disrespectful to call the founding father Junior Jesus and such comments must not be tolerated.

He also rubbished claims by Dr. Sawyer that, the former President's attitude forced the party into opposition insisting that the party knew they will lose the 2016 elections.

"We all saw defeat coming and received security reports that indicated that we were going to lose the elections. Everybody in the party knew we will lose in Greater Accra..we saw it in advance," he stated.

The party he said tried to use the Nkrumah Interchange at Circle to gather people around and gain some political points in Accra to reverse the looming defeat.

Mr Nyaunu continued "When we decided that, we were of age and could do without J.J Rawlings was the beginning of our woes. We made an expensive experiment which has cost us and cannot blame the former President for the defeat", he stressed.

People in the Volta region he said did not vote for the NDC because of the decision to leave the founder out of its activities.

According to him, the NDC has become so divided and it would be disastrous if leaders are unable to bury their differences.

Three years, he said is not far and the party would be doing a lot of campaign for the New Patriotic Party if they continue on the same path.
