The former Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Alhaji Inusah Fuseini says the tapping device retrieved from the office of the current Minister, John Peter Amewu was placed there on his request.

According to him, one Haruna gave it to him as a gift during his early days as Lands and Natural Resources Minister to help monitor what went on in his office at any point.

He believes that the isssue is being blown out of proportion because the device was not fully installed.

Speaking on Starr FM, the Tamale central MP said the device was not working but the installation was not completed,”

The National Security yesterday July 10 retrieved the audio-visual recorder including a camera, a storage unit and another device suspected to be a transmitter planted in a huge Coat of Arms plaque hanging in the Minister’s office.

The device according to the National Security officers the device can pick a whisper 35-feet away.
