President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo has said he is confident all his campaign promises will be fulfilled by the end of his first term in office as President.

According to President Akufo-Addo, within 14 months of assuming office, he has delivered on a number of promises hence he is positive all his campaign promises will be fulfilled before his first term ends.

Members of the Opposition NDC and minority have criticized the Akufo-Addo government for making numerous promises and not being able to fulfill them, despite the roll-out of flagship policies such as the Free Senior High School Policy, One district-one factory, restoration of nurses and teacher trainee allowances.

Speaking during a courtesy call at the Jubilee House Tuesday, the President told the leaders of the Adanwomase Kente Weavers and Sellers Association that he was working to deliver on all of the remaining promises he made to Ghanaians.

“I told the good people of Ghana that I am up to the task of running the country. I have fulfilled a number of campaign promises. I know we have a lot to do. It is a four year mandate and by the time my four years will be over, I would have fulfilled all my promises. I am not one of the politicians who promises and fails to deliver. I will deliver on all my promises,” the President Stated.

President Akufo-Addo during the ceremony was honoured with the Akan title “OseadeɛyƆ”, by the leadership of the Adanwomase Kente Weavers and Sellers Association.

Conferring the honour, spokesperson of the delegation said “the Adanwomase Kente Weavers and Sellers Association are here today to present a specially woven Kente cloth, which we call ‘OseadeɛyƆ Akufo-Addo’, in honour of the three major political campaign promises fulfilled; namely the Free Senior High School policy, the restoration of teaching and nursing trainee allowances, and for establishing the Office of the Special Prosecutor.”
