A National Vice Chairman of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alhaji Said Sinare has stated that he would resign from active politics if flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo wins the upcoming December 7 elections.

According to him, considering the infrastructural development President John Mahama had undertaken during his first term in office, it would be shocking if the NPP and Nana Akufo-Addo could wrestle power from him.

Speaking at a rally at the Okaikoi North Constituency in the Greater Accra Region on Monday, Alhaji Sinare said, "there is no way Akufo-Addo can win this election considering the record of President Mahama. I will resign from politics if Akufo-Addo wins".

"Mahama is from God and even if you don't vote for him, angels will descend from heaven to vote for him", Alhaji Sinare who is also Ghana's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia added.

He urged supporters in the constituency to turn out and vote massively for President Mahama and the party's parliamentary candidate, Abdul Razak Issah.
