Political parties contesting in the Jaman North constituency in the Brong Ahafo Region have agreed to postpone to tomorrow [Thursday] voting in the constituency to correct some anomalies

According to report from Jenya radio in the Brong Ahafo, voting had delayed in all the polling stations in the constituency because some executives of the ruling National Democratic Congress in the area expressed worry over the voter transfer list which they appealed was bloated in excess of 20 names.

In an Interview with Citi FM, General Secretary of the ruling NDC Johnson Asiedu Nketia confirmed the postponement of the election in the Jaman North in order to rectify some anomalies on the List of voters given to political parties and the official one when EC officers brought for the conduct of the elections.

According to Johnson Asiedu Nketia  the decision of postponement was arrived at by all political parties, traditional rulers, and a representative of the Peace Council.

However, Deputy Communication Director of the  Electoral Commission Yussif Ayuba has said no one can take a unilateral decision without  order from above hence electoral officials in the Jaman North has been instructed to commence the voting process.
