Member of Parliament (MP) for the Manhyia South Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh has stated that the disqualification of the All Peoples Congress (APC) flagbearer, Hassan Ayariga clearly shows that the latter's claims that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) copied the APC's manifesto were just laughable.
Ayariga on Monday accused the NPP of plagiarism after it emerged that their manifesto which was launched on Sunday had portions which were verbatim with that of the APC which had been outdoored the three days before.
A few hours his accusation, the Electoral Commission announced his disqualification from the 2016 presidential elections over some anomalies on his nomination form.
Reacting to his disqualification, an incensed Ayariga insulted EC Chairperson, Charlotte Osei on radio describing her as "stupid and foolish".
Commenting on the APC leader's outburst on Asempa FM's Ekosii Sen on Tuesday, the Manhyia South MP said the Ayariga's behaviour meant that had no business being in politics not to talk of him writing a manifesto for us to copy because he was not smart enough.
"You are at fault and instead of pleading for consideration, you go about insulting the EC Chairperson and such an unserious person accuses the NPP of copying his manifesto", he lamented, maintaining that, "Hassan Ayariga has no mental capacity to draft a manifesto. Someone stole ours and gave it to him"
"If Ayariga could not complete common nomination forms, how could he have written a manifesto?", he asked, and challenged him to produce trails of documents leading to their final manifesto document.
