Kwasi Kyei Darkwah, known affectionately as KKD, has been appointed as Ghana’s Special Envoy to the Caribbean Region.

The appointment comes as Ghana seeks to strengthen international relations and deepen bilateral ties with Caribbean nations.

In his new role, KKD will be responsible for enhancing diplomatic, cultural, and economic cooperation between Ghana and countries including Cuba, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Trinidad and Tobago, and Barbados.

His mandate aligns with Ghana’s broader foreign policy objectives, which focus on expanding trade and investment opportunities, promoting Ghanaian culture internationally, and working with Caribbean partners to address shared development challenges.

KKD’s appointment underscores Ghana’s commitment to leveraging historical, cultural, and ancestral ties to strengthen connections with the Caribbean.
