Kwabena Agyepong, the suspended General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has donated GHC 82,000 to support the campaign efforts of the parliamentary candidates of the party in deprived constituencies ahead of tomorrow’s elections.
Agyepong was suspended by the NPP indefinitely for allegedly working to sabotage the presidential ambition of Nana Akufo-Addo, the NPP presidential candidate - charges that he has denied.
Agyepong said in a statement that the donation was aimed at supporting the party to win the December 2016 elections.
Beneficiary constituencies of the money in the Northern, Upper West, Upper West and Brong-Ahafo Regions will receive GHC2,000 each.
