Mahama pledges to modernise Suame Magazine hub in 2nd term

President Mahama has rendered on his tour of the Ashanti Region that his government in its second term will modernise the Suame Magazine industrial enclave.

He mentioned equipping the hub with an Information and Communications Technology (ICT) centre for the workers to use in fixing automated vehicles, a training school to groom new recruits on the use of requisite technology and inner workings of the business, an electricity substation to supply undisrupted power and a polyclinic to attend to the health needs of the workers at the hub is assured when retained in power.

H.E. Dramani Mahama made the disclosures when he interacted with the workmen at the hub which is estimated to host some 200,000 workmen who fix and sell vehicle parts including brake pads, engines, shock absorbers, doors and other parts.

According to the National Democratic Congress leader, about 10,000 workers have been recruited to undertake training in diagnostics to remain competitive.

The president stated before the erection of the polyclinic, he’s directed that an ambulance be stationed at the zone to ferry ailing members to hospital.
