President John Dramani Mahama has sworn in the Right to Information (RTI) Commission at the Presidency.

The seven-member Commission is chaired by Dr. James Asante, with Christina Edmund serving as Vice Chairperson.

The other members are Hon. Kobby Woyome, Aba Edusah, Angela Emefa Kpegah, Chris Dugan, and Shirley Lartey, who will serve as Executive Secretary.

The RTI Commission is mandated to promote and enforce the Right to Information Act, which grants citizens access to information held by public institutions.

The Commission will oversee the implementation of the Act, handle appeals from information seekers, and ensure public bodies comply with their obligations under the law.
