Officials of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) and National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) are assessing the extent of damage the fire caused.

But MPs today could not access their offices and are seen stranded on the premise of the State House.

Speaking to JoyFM, deputy minority leader in Parliament James Avedzi said the situation has affected their work as most of them have booked appointments for the morning at their offices. He called for a thorough assessment of the situation to establish the cause of the fire and to be able to prevent same in the future.
