'My job will be easy as National Chairman if Mahama wins NDC flagbearer' - Ofosu-Ampofo

National Chairman Hopeful of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, says he will be the happiest man on earth and in the party should the former President Mahama wins the flagbearership slot of the NDC.

The Vice Chairman of the NDC said his job as the National Chairman will also be easy if he wins as the Chairman and former President Mahama as the flagbearer of the NDC for the 2020 general elections.

Mr. Ofosu-Ampofo said this in an interview with PrimeNewsGhana on which of the flagbearer aspirants does he support and wish to lead the NDC for the 2020 general elections.

Even though he believes all NDC members who have declared their intensions to contest the flagbearership are capable, the former Minister for Local Government and Rural Development said former President Mahama has already marketed himself.

“If he [former President Mahama] wins, it will be good for the party and I will be happy”, he explained.

He said “the job will be easy for me as a chairman if Mahama wins as the flagbearer” but asked delegates to decide who they think can lead the power to victory in 2020 elections.
