Nana Addo's wife to visit Otumfuor, Queens in 5-day tour of Ashanti region

Wife of the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) Presidential Candidate, Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo,  will on Thursday, October 27,  start a five-day tour of the Ashanti Region.

Her tour is scheduled to kick off with a visit to the Manhyia Palace to formally announce her presence in the region to the Asantehene, Otumfuor Osei Tutu II.

According to a statement signed by Andy Owusu, special aide to the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP, Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, Mrs Akufo-Addo will also "pay courtesy calls on all queenmothers in the various paramountcies under the Asante Kingdom to interact with them and hold discussions on issues bothering on women's development and empowerment".

Her visit comes just days after her husband, Nana Akufo-Addo completed a four-day tour of the region.

Wife of the NPP Presidential Candidate, Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo will on Thursday pay a courtesy call on the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, to formally announce her arrival in the Garden City for a five day visit.

All regional and constituency women organizers from the Ashanti Region will accompany Mrs. Akufo Addo   during her visit to the Palace to pay homage to the Royal King. 
 
Aside this, arrangement has also been made for Members of Parliament as well as ex-ministers to join the delegation.
 
The visit is to affirm Mrs. Akufo-Addo's  love and commitment to traditional authority.
 
She would then visit the Ebenezer Worshipping Centre to seek spiritual intervention for the party and would after, drive through the principal streets of Kumasi en route to the Central Market where she is expected to outdoor the newly introduced "Adopt a Polling Project".
 
She will also pay courtesy calls on all Queenmothers in the various Paramountcies under the Asante Kingdom to interact with them and hold discussions on issues bothering on women's development and empowerment.
