The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has commenced a nationwide membership registration exercise, with the rollout of a new register to expand and strengthen the party’s grassroots base.
The Acting Director of Elections and Information Technology of the party, Mahdi Jibril, announced the new membership drive in a statement on Facebook.
According to him, the exercise starts today, February 10, and will run until March 30, 2026.
He stressed that the exercise will take place across all branches of the party nationwide and will be supervised at the branch level to ensure a smooth and credible process.
He explained that registration will be administered by branch secretaries at designated branch meeting points, where prospective members can sign up and existing members can update their details.
Mr Jibril urged supporters and sympathisers of the party to take advantage of the exercise to formally join the NDC, stressing that a strong and updated membership base is essential for effective organisation and mobilisation ahead of future political activities.
The registration forms part of the party’s broader efforts to strengthen its structures and deepen participation at the grassroots level.
