Incumbent National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) Director of Elections in the central region Yaw Asiedu has been reported dead in an accident which occurred in early hours of Tuesday December 13, 2016.
The accident occurred while on his way to Accra on the Winneba-Apam highway in the Central region
Yaw Asiedu, who is a lawyer by profession was transporting collation sheets in Central region from just ended December polls to the headquarters of the NDC in Accra.
In the car was also the NDC Central regional treasurer Eric Essuah and a driver who survived the accident but in a critical condition.
The deceased’s body has been deposited at the mortuary at Winneba Trauma Hospital. The two others are in grave condition and have been airlifted to Accra for further treatment.
