The 2016 NDC Manifesto launch at the Sunyani Coronation Park is underway and Transport Minister Fifi Fiavi Kwetey has espoused the formidable woks of candidate John Mahama.

Debunking claims by the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) that the massive infrastructural works being undertaken by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is as a result of increased revenue channels, the man who doubles as the Member of Parliament for the Ketu South constituency offered to set the records straight.

He submitted to teeming party people that the NPP are just clueless when it comes to effective governance.

According to Hon. Kwetey, the total revenue generated from Jerry Rawlings’ reign from 1999 to 2003 was 26 billion cedis while the total debt he accumulated was 13 billion as against Kufuor’s revenue of 22 billion cedis and increased total debt stock left behind as at 2008 being 50 billion cedis.

He advanced his case further, mentioning that while the NDC built 3 Regional Hospitals, the NPP built none. While the NDC built 3 Universities, the NPP built none. While the NDC built 7 Polytechnics, the NPP erected none and while the NDC erected various housing facilities at Adentan, Community 3, Sakaman and other regional capitals, the Kufour led NPP failed to erect single rooms much less talk of Chamber and Hall structures.

He stressed that the NDC even though had limited revenue, since it was committed to the people, it strived to make their life’s meaningful with varied interventionist programmes adding while the NPP remains an empty barrel making noise, the NDC was a full barrel who has limited time for noise.
