Since 1957 when Ghana gained independence from the British, no political party has ruled for three consecutive terms but the ruling National Democratic Copngress (NDC) is hoping to change that, Chief of Staff Julius Debrah has stated

According to him, NDC is well positioned to beat the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on December 7 to become the first political party in Ghana to ever win three consecutive terms in office.

Speaking on Joy FM's Super Morning Show on Thursday, Mr Debrah said "we believe that the NDC will make history and be the first party to rule for 3 consecutive terms. We are convinced of a victory, but we will not be complacent. We will keep the NPP at bay".

For this to happen, he urged his party to concentrate their efforts on the electorates.

"I will not advice my party to respond to Dr Bawumia. They should talk to and respond to the people instead", he stated.
