The founder of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom, has accused President John Mahama’s of using taxpayers’ money to finance his ‘Accounting to the People’ tour.

In a Facebook post on Thursday, Dr Nduom demanded to know the  sponsor of the president’s tour of the ten regions.

He criticised President Mahama for starring in an Electoral Commission advert and wondered if he did not know that appearing in the advert was inappropriate.

The PPP founder also questioned why government officials were using official vehicles and government fuel to follow the president on his tour.

According to him, there is a difference between official duties of a President, Ministers of State and DCEs and political campaign activities that should be private and self-funded.
