Earlier today, presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and incumbent President of the Republic of Ghana casted his ballot at a polling station in his Bole constituency in the Northern region of the country.

The President was met by a throng of enthusiastic crowd at the area in which he prior to his nominations as Vice President in 2008 served as member of Parliament.

Speaking after the process, he expressed his confidence in the decision of the Ghanaian people to re-elect him for a next four year term.

He said they had as an administration done a great job, he was proud of the achievements of the party in the last eight years and that "he had no regrets".

This sheer optimism has met parallels from the six other presidential candidates including Mr. Greenstreet of the CPP who earlier projected the possibility of his party carrying 48% followed by NPP and the likes when asked by a reporter if he anticipated a run-off.

Meanwhile, as polls finally end except for the Jaman constituency with a probable postponement till tomorrow, it remains unclear which of the candidates will emerge the winner of this race: one can only hope for the best.
