The New Patriotic Party (NPP) will on Friday the 16th December and Sunday the 18th hold a national thanksgiving service for both Muslim and Christians in the country after their victory in the 2016 general elections.

In a statement signed by the acting general secretary of the party, John Boadu, the Christian thanksgiving service will be held at the Accra Sport Stadium with the Memory verse from the Bible “Psalm 20 vrs 5: “We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we set up our banners. May the Lord fulfill all our petition.”

Meanwhile the Chief Imam, Dr Nuhu Sharubutu, will be leading the Muslim Thanksgiving service at the Central Mosque, Abossey Okai, on Friday, December 16, 2016.

In attendance at both events will be the Vice President-elect, Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, NPP Members of Parliament-elect and the leadership of the party.

According to the statement “Members of the general public are cordially invited to these events to thank God and seek His blessings for the incoming administration.”
