Provisional results indicate that the New Patriotic Party(NPP) has taken a commanding lead in the central region.
Currently, results have shown that the NPP has taken majority of the 17 parliamentary seats out of the 23 with just six more seats to go.
That would be a very big blow for the NDC who enjoyed some dominance in that region under the leadership of the late Prof. Atta Mills.
Former President John Kufuor during NPP’s final campaign at the Trade Fair center in Accra said the NPP would share the votes in the central region with the NDC.
But figures coming in indicates that, the NPP has rather taken most of the votes and are leading in both the Presidential and the Parliamentary race.
