NPP man shot by robbers

A member of the opposition New Patriotic Party’s Akropong and Eastern regional communication team, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, popularly known as IGP, has been attacked and shot by armed robbers at his residence in Accra.

 

Mr Owusu Afriyie sustained bullet wounds in the attack and was taken to the Intensive Care Unit of the Korle-Bu Teaching hospital for treatment.

According to his friend, Godfather,  the victim was with his wife and new born baby when the attack happened around 2am on Monday and urged the police to ensure that the assailants are brought to book.

He said the victim was shot by the robbers as he tried preventing them from gaining access to his room. Mr Owusu Afriyie sustained injuries on his arm but wife and baby escaped unhurt, according to classfmonline.
