The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has released detailed guidelines ahead of its 2025 National Annual Delegates Conference, set to take place on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
Speaking to the media, Chairman of the National Planning Committee, Hon. Joseph Osei-Owusu, assured the public of the party’s full preparedness and commitment to hosting a peaceful and well-organized event.
Access to the venue will be strictly controlled.
Only delegates and officials with valid accreditation will be allowed entry.
Security personnel have been directed to remove any unauthorized persons found on the premises.
In addition, all delegates are required to remain within their designated zones throughout the event to ensure order.
Any attempts to disrupt proceedings will be swiftly addressed by security operatives on site.
The Health and Safety Committee will ensure strict adherence to COVID-19 protocols.
Ten medical stands three outside and seven within the stadium will be manned by 50 volunteer medical personnel. An emergency medical team from the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) will also be on standby, supported by the National Ambulance Service.
Also, accommodation, transportation, and feeding arrangements for delegates have been finalised.
Regional party executives will be briefed in detail on Monday, 14th July.
The party’s internal security team will collaborate with national security agencies to ensure law and order. Security officers will be deployed at hostels, kitchens, and rest areas, with the stadium’s inner perimeter restricted to authorised personnel only.
Each of the 16 regions will be assigned a dedicated gate to streamline access and enhance security screening.
All incidents of misconduct or security breaches will be met with swift legal action. Non-delegates are advised to follow the conference remotely, as no special access will be granted without a formal invitation.
The party announced a strict ban on all campaign-related materials including posters, flyers, T-shirts, and banners at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium and across Accra ahead of its 2025 National Annual Delegates Conference.
Enforcement teams will be deployed to remove and destroy any campaign materials found.
The party emphasized that no form of campaign activity will be allowed before, during, or after the event.
It added that media coverage of the conference will be strictly regulated.
Accreditation must be secured through a Google Form, with press badges available for collection from midday on Friday, 18th July.
A fully equipped media village will support coverage, offering clean audio and video feeds with simultaneous commentary in both English and Twi.
For media houses outside Accra, the party said satellite uplinks will be made available. All media installations must be completed at least 12 hours prior to the start of the conference.
A dedicated media support desk will be on hand to assist with all press-related inquiries.
The NPP has urged all stakeholders, including delegates, media personnel, and supporters, to comply fully with these guidelines to ensure a smooth, peaceful, and incident-free conference.
