Police in the Ashanti Region have put behind bars the Ashanti Rehional New Patriotic Party (NPP) Â Chairman, Bernard Antwi-Boasiako aka 'Chairman Wontumi', reports filtering in suggest.
 Mr Antwi-Boasiako who had been virtually declared wanted by the police since Sunday earlier in the day indicated on Kumasi-based Ashh FM that he was going voluntarily report himself to the police after he had met with his lawyers.
He, according to the police, had been wanted for allegedly assaulting Member of Parliament for Manhyia North, Collins Amankwah, and his Constituency Secretary, Felix Ibrahim on Sunday at Krofrom.
