Dr Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, long known to be a founding member of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), is no more a member of the party, it has emerged.

According to the party's Deputy General Secretary, Nana Obiri Boahen, Dr Nyaho-Tamakloe's recent conduct had done nothing but only brought disrepute to the party and thus made him no member of the party.

Speaking on NEAT FM's Ghana Montie, he said "Nyaho-Tamakloe is not part of the NPP so he should let the party be".

The Deputy General Secretary further noted the former Ambassador to Serbia of not paying his membership dues. "How can such a person be a founding member of the party?", he asked.

Reacting to Dr Nyaho-Tamakloe's assertion in a recent interview on GH ONE TV that leaders of the party especially the flag-bearer, Nana Akufo-Addo were fostering disunity in the party, Obiri Boahen said "the NPP is united without Nyaho-Tamakloe. No sensible person will say such bad things about his party. He is not part of us."
