President Mahama does not understand democracy - Akufo Addo

Preisdential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo has said President John Mahama does not understand democracy following his recent statement that he (Nana Addo) must stop begging Ghanaians for their votes.

That statement, according to the Nana Addo who was speaking at the NPP's final rally at the Trade Fair Center in Accra, means the President has no knowledge with regards to democracy.

He said, "the power lies in the hands of the people and I must beg in order to get the power to lead the people and ensure good governance."

"I will continue to beg and beg Ghanaians to get the power to achieve our objectives for the people," he stated.

Nana Addo said, "I am coming to restore and put new life into the National Health Insurance Scheme."

He added that, the nurses allowance would be restored to enable young people who wish to take up the profession receive the necessary assistance to do so.

Education, he said, is important for the future of the country and efforts would be put in place to ensure the free senior high education comes to reality in Ghana.

The teacher training allowance he said, would also be restored and the adult education program would also be restored to build a population with knowledge for the 21st century.

Other infrastructure would be built by the NPP if voted into power to ensure a comfortable living standards of Ghanaians.
